Do you wait for summer… or start the season early?
In just a few weeks, Alex and I will be back at our spot —
the place we spend most of our summer.
For us, the season starts right after Mother’s Day
when the docks go in.
We don’t wait for perfect weather.
We get in as early as we can.
It’s not always warm —
but that doesn’t really matter.
It’s about being back on the water.
Getting that first ride in.
Feeling that shift into boating season.
By the time summer hits, the marina is full.
But there’s something about those early days —
quieter, slower, and just as meaningful.
We try to stretch the season
as long as we can.
