Sometimes he still acts like a puppy.
Bolts across the grass like it’s the best day ever.
Tail high, ears flopping,
pure joy in motion.
He still waits by the door.
Still gives me that look—
the one that says,
“Are we going? Just say the word.”
It’s in these little moments
I’m reminded how much life there is in play.
How presence isn’t something we chase—
sometimes it’s tugging at a leash,
just waiting for us to say yes.
