There’s something so good about a drink made fresh from the garden (or in my case… pots of herbs on the patio! 🌱).

There’s something so good about a drink made fresh from the garden (or in my case… pots of herbs on the patio! 🌱).

I’ve made variations of this one before, but it is just so on point for this time of year—crisp, refreshing, and full of late-summer flavor. Today for Thirsty Thursday, we’re making a Cucumber Basil Martini! 🍸🥒

My lovely neighbor has been sharing fresh cucumbers from her garden, so I paired them with fresh basil to make the ultimate garden-fresh cocktail.

Here’s the quick play-by-play:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Gin
  • ¾ oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  • ¾ oz Simple Syrup
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Fresh Basil leaves & Cucumber slices
  • Pinch of salt & cucumber ribbon (garnish) ✨

Quick Steps:

  1. Muddle: Basil, cucumber, and fresh lemon juice in a shaker.
  2. Pour & Shake: Add simple syrup, gin, St-Germain, and ice. Give it a hard shake!
  3. Strain & Serve: Double-strain into a martini glass, pinch of salt, top with a cucumber ribbon.

It’s sweet, bright, perfectly green, and completely delicious.

Have you tried a basil martini before, or are you sticking to classic mint? Let me know below! 👇

Cheers everybody! Have a great weekend ahead. 🥂
