There’s something so good about a drink made fresh from the garden (or in my case… pots of herbs on the patio! 🌱).
I’ve made variations of this one before, but it is just so on point for this time of year—crisp, refreshing, and full of late-summer flavor. Today for Thirsty Thursday, we’re making a Cucumber Basil Martini! 🍸🥒
My lovely neighbor has been sharing fresh cucumbers from her garden, so I paired them with fresh basil to make the ultimate garden-fresh cocktail.
Here’s the quick play-by-play:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Gin
- ¾ oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- ¾ oz Simple Syrup
- ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- Fresh Basil leaves & Cucumber slices
- Pinch of salt & cucumber ribbon (garnish) ✨
Quick Steps:
- Muddle: Basil, cucumber, and fresh lemon juice in a shaker.
- Pour & Shake: Add simple syrup, gin, St-Germain, and ice. Give it a hard shake!
- Strain & Serve: Double-strain into a martini glass, pinch of salt, top with a cucumber ribbon.
It’s sweet, bright, perfectly green, and completely delicious.

Cheers everybody! Have a great weekend ahead. 🥂
